The Golf Academy Presented By Gillette Fusion Power

MARIETTA, GEORGIA, March 4 -- The PGA TOUR and Lynn Blake Golf, LLC are pleased to announce the The Golf Academy Presented By Gillette Fusion Power to be conducted at the PGA TOUR's Barclays Classic, August 23-26, 2007, at Westchester Country Club in Harrison, New York www.barclaysclassic.com.
This year's Barclays will be the first in the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup. The Playoffs will consist of four events that will determine the winner of the FedExCup. In addition, the top 30 finishers will be guaranteed exemption for the following year.
The Academy facility will be specially constructed in Hospitality Village between the 9th and 10th fairways of the famed West Course at the Westchester Country Club. It will operate from 8 a.m to close of play Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to close of play Saturday and Sunday. The Academy will feature individual instruction and clubfitting exclusively for Official Sponsors of the Barclays Classic and their guests.
Lynn Blake Golf, LLC and its Director of Instruction, Lynn Blake, has assembled a blue-ribbon team of exceptional instructors for the event. These include:

Golf clubs and clubfitting will be provided by Henry-Griffitts, Inc., a leader in custom-fit golf clubs since 1983.

Those who have read the commentary on last year's Barclays Classic Golf Academy know that Ed provided valuable assistance during my half dozen or so outdoor clinics. These were conducted during the tournament in the short game area at Westchester CC, just a couple of hundred yards from the 18th green. When you're giving a clinic and you look up to see the best players in the world walking down the fairway during a major PGA TOUR event, you know something special is going on!
Ed is a gifted communicator who really knows his stuff, and I am pleased to announce that he will once again be on hand to help me get the job done.
This year, Lynn Blake Golf, LLC will be conducting two major Academies at the Barclays Classic. The first is for Barclays Bank and its private clients just off the 18th green. The second is for the PGA TOUR and the sponsors of the tournament to be located in Hospitality Village between the 9th and 10th fairways. This last event will be sponsored by Gillette. As you can read in the press releases for both events, we have an elite staff of eight highly-qualified instructors for the events. The tournament is also providing us with two administrative volunteers. Combined, this is a wonderful team of ten, one of which I am truly proud.
