Low hands at address facilitate sweep loading?
Do low hands at address make it easier to sweep load and if so is it because the angle of hands to club is closer to what it will need to be to use sweep loading(setting the wrist cock early)? Also, Annikan do you have any swing sequences of Jodie Mudd from the face-on view as well as a full sequence of Mac? Thanks.

Low Hands at address
Not Annikan but here is my take. Having the hands on the Turned Shoulder Plane is easier when Hitting.
Full Sweep Loading and Swinging are easier with lower Hands. This is a minefield where you probably need a sweeper in GM company!.
1K " Many Variations are not listed simply because they are advisedly teamed with Variations that are listed. Applying them otherwise is a players choice and risk, but that does not make them Catalog Omissions.

eg Hip Turn 10 -14-C # 1 teamed with 10-14-A # 2

10-6-E #1 Although Hands Only can be teamed with 10-7-B or 10 - 7 -C .
Not recommended in the GM but personal preference, natural inclination, pressure of conditions not possible or advisable, etc.
Low Hands maximizes Acc #3 and #2 is preset making for the advantages of Full Sweep listed somewhere else on this site.

Please do not throw me out, I have only been here a day!.

Tongueblbberer,

Dead on...great post...no need to elaborate!!!

I agree with hitting being best set on the Turned Shoulder plane with the RFT....

I use Hands Only for my swing procedure due to the MORAD influence...Turned Shoulder for my hitting procedure due to my LBG experience from Pine Needles!!!

Snaping at the Open
I have video of Jodie at the 1991 US Open.....low hands....snap loading with a 3 wood (wide arc -- extensor action takeaway).

When swinging I have to try very hard to set up even on an elbow plane, even then my RF is not. It is through release and impact though.
The snap loading was trained out of me decades ago, in retrospect the best thing I ever did.
Annikan has a great post here somewhere listing the reasons why.

Don't have the technology to post it!!! Contact ABC television or the Golf Channel and request a copy of the 1 hour long summary of the tournament!!!

Go to Brain Manzella's website....go to the swing sequence section and find Jodie Mudd's swings....there are two files...both shots of his swing are from Augusta National....I have both files on my desktop. Using "Quick Time Player"... I can view Mudd's swing in slow motion....Jodie's using Snap Loading..with an iron. You can compare both swings....the one that Annikan supplied and the movie of Jodie's swing, the backswings are different. Just take Jodie's swing to the half way position like shot #2 and you will see that Jodie is not in the same position....the left wrist cock is delayed. You will see his swing SNAP into position at the end assembly point before starting the club down. Annikan, What year were the still shots of Jodie photographed???
