Uncompensated Stroke
From the PREFACE: The geometry (for "uncompensated" Strokes) is the same for both Hitting and Swinging .

Does "uncompensated' refer to a stroke that controls the Clubshaft, Clubhead and Clubface; a stroke that includes the Essentials and Imperatives; not mixing Hitting and Swinging ; or, What is not varying?

I think what uncompensated stroke means .

To move the club shaft On plane with the flying wedges, essentials and imperatives.

If we want to hit a straight shot, and your club shaft is not On plane, we will have to compensate, example. by keeping the clubface open say in an Out in motion. to hit a relatively straight shot.. Thus compensating.

Or it obeys the "LAW" of geometry and physics.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the "LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

Doc,

You've netted it out but its much more than that for the instructor or a self-guided golfer.

The 24 swing components need to be analyzed and fitted based on your selected stroke pattern. Each component will be fitted and must match the other selected components for your pattern. Where there is incompatibility or lack of mastery in a component, there are compensations.

My time with Yoda, Ted, Jeff Hull, and Steve Ferguson has been amazing. Their trained eyes can do a quick body scan of the entire motion and target component areas that are creating compensations within minutes if not sooner. It's great to see them all together as they look at a swing motion and in unison key in on specifics without video for reference.

It's pretty easy seeing problems with most golfers, but others have very nice swings so it can be a challenge spotting problem components. They can all do it quickly.

It's much more difficult taking the self guided route to find your own incompatible or problem areas, but it can be done with a lot of self study and video. Even then, a trained eye will blow you away at how quickly they find something you've overlooked.

Even those who have matched components fairly well still struggle. At the TOUR level you commonly have to spot unmastered MATCHED components and work on making them more PRECISE.

You've probably noticed that Yoda hasn't been posting as much recently because that is exactly where his trained eye is focused these days.

And lucky for us, before being discovered by a flock of touring pros, he posted a library of G.O.L.F. information, thanks Yoda for being busy with us before them!

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)
