I've been having a difficult time getting comfortable at address with the driver. For all of the irons and the hybrid I use, I use Impact Fix with no problems. Im using a 15* high lofted driver and Impact Fix delofts the club and gives me some pitiful trajectory. I've also tried Classic Address with hands midbody and the trajectory is better but still doesnt feel comfortable yet.
So my question is how do you set up with your driver: At Fix, Classic, face square,open, etc ?
At Impact Fix, I use the Fix grip (Flat left wrist, bent right) with my hands slightly covering my left foot. When using Classic Address I have bent left wrist and flat right with my hands in the middle of my body.
The reason I asked is that if you are setting the driver at impact fix with it's natural loft and lie angle and then taking your grip with everything lined up properly, the clubface shouldn't deloft at impact as severely as you've described. Assuming you are coming back into it with those angles. As it is setup, so should it return. Yoda hovers the driver at impact fix and also address to assure his impact fix alignments don't change.
As a swinger, you should also have the clubface opened a few degrees at impact fix to account for horizontal hinge motion through impact.
The difference between impact fix and adjusted address isn't huge, just a shift of the hips back to neutral and moving the hands is optional. If you are a hitter, then it is advantageous to leave them in their impact fix position as you carry the club back in the backstroke. Assuming you are a swinger, then starting the hands mid-body helps as you drag the club back with the right arm pickup in the backstroke.
If you are coming back into impact delofted, then something else must be going on. A visit to the swamp always seems to work it's magic.
I just looked back at Yoda's driver vid and took note of his Impact Fix alignments. It seems that my fix alignment has my hands too far foward over my left foot whereas Yoda's setup has the shaft more vertical. I'll make the adjustments next range session I get. I'll also have to recheck my hip alignments with adjusted address.
I won't be heading down to the swamp but I'll be at Destin to soak it all up. That gives me a month to work out my driver funk. Thanks for your help.

You probably already know this, but the hands covering the left foot isn't literal. It's a visual line representation from your centered head to your left foot at impact fix. The hands are on that visual line and appear to cover the front of your left foot.
I definitely had my hands waay out in front; literally over the left foot. I probably was confusing my hands at low point instead of at fix. It's gonna be raining tomorrow so I guess some indoor mirror work will be on the menu. Have a good weekend.
