Monitoring the twelve sections from chapter 8
This probably could have been included in Martees question about the use of mirrors.

If I can find a mirror large enough, I intend to use one to improve my swing. Would monitoring the twelve positions identified in chapter 8 of TGM be the way to go?
If so does any one have better photos to use as models? In particular some down the line shots of those same positions. Some down the line shots would help me with my posture, hand, and shaft positions I think.

Take your address and have someone place a piece of tape up your shaft line on the mirror. With a different color tape and longer club repeat the process. Note the angles are slightly differnet as the club gets longer. As this as your plane reference, get to work tracing the clubshaft along the plane.

Your question(s) is/are what I am still in search of.

For example:

If I am using the Turned Shoulder Plane with Zero Shift, I set up and then the I need to have a flat Shoulder Turn on the Backstroke. The Position of the right shoulder at the Top after this move should in fact be a check point where I need to have the Hands at the Top. Obviously this requires a second person to assist in establishing a mark or line. That sounds pretty straight forward and track with TGM, HOWEVER the question remains, IS this the IDEAL or is this the Practical check point? Note the shoulders for this component motion DO NOT rotate at 90* to the spine on the Backstroke. Most golers attemp to rotate at 90* which causes the Right Shoulder to rise upward duing the Backstroke, this is not a Flat Shoulder Turn.

Another one, if at address I don't have the forearm on the same Plane as the shaft, do I have it on the Sweetspot Plane? Looking at most golfers who would be classified as at Adjusted Address, the forearm does not appear to be on either plane (Look at Yoda's or YodasLuke and then compare to other Pro's, yoda and company have the forearm on the clubshaft plane where as the others don't). Now if we look at all at Impact we note that the forearm relationship to the clubshaft exists for the most part. One could argue that it is the forearm to the Sweetspot Plane Angle which then explains why the forearm appears a bit below the Clubshaft Plane Angle and this variance will differ between Hitters and Swingers.

As I search for the logic behind establishing check points using a mirror or even for that fact using video, I am troubled with comments provided. They seem to be random.

I did find one instructor and I am sure there are more that made what I think is an excellent point. In analyzing the video, to establish the Plane Angle, he jumped ahead to the clip at the top, located the right shoulder point and then established the line. This is good providing in fact the golfer being analyzed is in fact using Shoulder Turned Plane, if not, using another, well then this can lead to faulty analysis.

When several TGM AI's who I have a lot of respect for, did my initial analysis, they actually place several lines. The lines showed the Backstroke at start up, the next showed the Downstroke. In between was the shift. This was all done by taking two points, intial and end. Looking at the two lines, you could see a difference in the Planes, the Angles. Was this wrong? In my case yes cause I was doing something unnatural to get back on Plane. In other cases the shift would be deemed proper. Thus opening up the questions I have regarding the use of mirrors and video. Oh, if you would have saw the move at the Top that I used to get on Plane, it would have been obvious that this was not good, but if you followed the just the Downstroke Plane, it was pretty close to being right on. Here is case that though it looked okay, it was killing the golf stroke. What was even more interesting IMO was Yoda had already determined several questionable moves and hadn't seen the analysis.

Anyway enough rambling, maybe others can lend some of their experience and knowledge as I believe even though the check points are and must be for the individual, the logic, the rationale, the method of defining them is consistent and the same for all.
