Earlier this year I was out with a buddy I usually play with at a course we both belong to. We came up to a short par 3 that is straght up a hill about 135 yards. It was a fairly windy day and the group in front wasn't putting the pins back in all the way so the wind would blow them over (one pin was sitting on the green a couple holes before). We saw the flag looked to be leaning and debated driving up there but decided not to.
My buddy hit his shot and it looked pretty good...on a line towards the flag. You can't see the green from below so we weren't sure how good. I hit and then we drove up and couldn't believe our eyes. The pin was leaning against the front of the cup and the ball was exactly against the pin!! At first we were both upset about the group in front not putting the stick all the way in and most likely costing my buddy his first ace...but then we had a good laugh and he took the birdie in stride (especially since we should have gone and fixed the stick in the first place).
