Golf Tips April 2007 TGM article
A great article is in the April 2007 Golf Tips Magazine by Chuck Winstead. Included is the golf tee drill that I believe Ben Doyle teaches. The article is entitled "Pro Contact."

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

Ben did use the golf tee drill mentioned in the article in my lesson. The first 15 minutes was spent in the bunker. Next we started chipping from the grass and he did the golf tee drill
