I have spent quite a few hours standing along side of Sam Snead, just watching him hit and talking with him. The lesson from Sam was never hitting all out. Great tempo and rythm. At Pinetree Golf club, when playing
nassaus with the members, from 150 out he would hit 5i. He could hit a lot less club, but would swing a 5i. This was 25 yrs. ago.
I don't think he could describe what was actually happening, but he could tell you what he felt. There is a differance
It is wonderful seeing this kind of history
Welcome aboard, Frank, and thank you for this first post. Keep'em coming!
Actually, the real thanks for the video should go to our unsung Site Admin Bagger Lance, who spent many hours editing the video to bring it to you in its current form. Without his dedicated effort, the Time Machine would be up on blocks, and the journey could not have been made.
Thanks to you for opening up the private library and sharing.
Just a quick request. Many of these videos are finding their way into private libraries and internet links on other forums and that's OK. We are here to take golf out of the dark ages and provide some enlightenment. To that end, please provide the link via the forum, not direct. Otherwise our new visitors will never get the benefit of understanding what they are seeing.
So go ahead and post the link on other sites via the forum and let people know they need to register first.
