Imho the belly putter cannot be outlawed because the left arm is anchored to the body just as the belly is end of story. Whatever method gives u the most control over speed and direction is the best way for u to putt

I am almost indifferent to whether they ban it or not.

But I think they should worry more about doing changes that prevented old, classic courses from being dwarfed by young & strong men with hot drivers and balls that flies forever.
