Kevin

We could make it from my house to Madison in 4.5 hrs or so.

You are 1/2 way there from me.

Start loading up your refrigerator, I'm moving in! :)

If you're moving in I'd need a walk-in freezer.

That is, by . . .

The Book.

From a 60-something Georgia PGA rank in 2004 to a Top 10 in 2010. As Ted himself says "Fat, forty, with a wife and three kids, and still playing just once a week, I realized my dream. I qualified for the PNC."

I'll say . . .

He shot FIVE-UNDER for the two days and finished solo THIRD. All this in a last round beset with high winds and very difficult winter conditions.

Meanwhile . . .

Ted's in training.

He's never smoked or drank.

[He's been my designated driver on every single one of our golf trips!]

And he's down more than a few pounds.

I'm not sure what to expect next.

My guess is . . .

Probably something good.

His appearance in the field at the Atlanta Athletic Club and the PGA ?

I'll carry his bag!

Jeff and I were a little unlucky with our tee times here in FL. We were in the same wave. We had late times on the first day and early today. The wind yesterday felt worse than at the PNC. Those of us with late times suffered a 20mph steady wind with bigger gusts. I shot 77 yesterday with two doubles. I was on the harder course and had two driver miscues into the wind. There were many times that I had a 3 club wind. Jeff was on the easier course and had a great score, 69. Today we had early starting times with temps in the upper 30's. :crybaby: The afternoon guys got temps in the 60's. :crybaby: I played well and shot 74 with only a very few mistakes. Jeff had a 76 on the harder course.

Jeff will have no problem making the cut. It looks like I may be bubble boy (one shot out). I'm not exactly sure where the axe will fall. Although I'd rather be playing tomorrow, I'm just happy to play, since we've had no chance to play in the last couple of weeks in Atlanta. I hope global warming reaches Atlanta, soon. If not I'll keep training and try to play a little starting in March.

How bout that Brian. Congratulations. Perfect timing. It is just wonderful
Actions speak louder than words......... But the words that made the action possible are coming tomorrow at the PGA Summit. The video of Lynn's presentation just went up in value. Lot to talk about on this forum. Video of Brian's swing in the Hope coupled with Lynn's presentation should make for hours of great fun.

good luck to Jeff Ted Kip and all this week

Thanks David. But, Jeff and I were just playing in a winter tournament in FL this week. We'll see Kip in the biggie at Hershey CC in June.

Brian's play shows us that we should never take this information literally. It's obvious that it can't help..........much.

Teacher's Recess

As posted above, BG and I spent a fair amount of time together over the phone (and with remote video) last Wednesday from La Quinta. We had been talking about a lesson this Saturday in Orlando. (I'm either teaching or at the PGA Show until then, plus Sunday, and he's out to Phoenix on Monday.)

After today's final round of 62 (10-under-par and low round of the day by two) I texted him that maybe he's got things worked out.

We'll see!

:laughing9

I have volunteered to work those days for the Golf Channel. I really did it just to meet Win McMurray. :)

What are the dates for this adventure? Are they different from the college reunion dates June 3rd-5th?
