This summer I have been concentrating on drag loading (10-19-C) and have found that this (10-19-C#2)works well for me. With my slow swing this has added significantly to my distance while still keeping it very straight.

That's the good news.... now the bad.
For the last month the third finger of my left hand (right handed swing) hurts. During my daily activites it doesn't bother me at all. But, when I take up one of my irons it hurts.:sad2: It feels as if the finger is being pulled out of the socket.

Anyone had anything like this? Any suggestions? :crybaby:

I have noticed that if my left thumb is aft, behind the shaft, it takes a lot of stress of my fingers of the left hand. May be worth a try if your left thumb is on top of the shaft.

That's what I thought- get rid of the wife and your game will get better and your mind and body will heal! 12 Piece Bucket may be able to add some good advice in this particular area of golf instruction.

If the pain is in the joint consider arthritis. Take an anti imflammatory like Aleve. Soak hand in parafin soak. Softer and larger grips, graphite shafts, hit fewer balls.

If the pain is located in the palm of the hand where finger meets hand consider trigger finger. Gripping club firmly with last three fingers of left hand dragging it down can cause it. It is common in rock climbers. Triggering occurs when closing the finger binds or catches, then releases. Caused by inflammation of pulley thru which the flexor tendon passes. Treated by Cortisone injection which is highly successful or by surgery in injection fails.

Consider arthritic golf glove by Terris Golf endorsed and used by Bruce Fleischer. Different models for different hand pain. I have trigger finger model with palm pad. It helps.

Just hear Boo Weekley is now using graphite shafts cause of hand problems.

I think you've covered this one perfectly Mikey . . . solution is either to chop off the fanger or chop off the wife. This is golf so it's very important to have your priorities in line. Therefore Mikey and I will provide the appropriate services for the fanger or your wife. Assuming you chose the wife there will be a surcharge, a life insurance requirement naming Mike Obstetricski and Bucket as equal beneficiaries with Elmo as the contingent beneficiary. If you just wanna go with the fanger we'll just need our expenses (meal at Chucky Cheezes' and in room pay per view pawno for Mike) paid plus an allowance for equipment (cole cream, cheese grater and ejacto-knife).

I take my ring off whenever I play. Played my first game after my wedding and was left with a huge blister so that was that. I do kiss it whenever I take it off and think (briefly) of my wife and kids:laughing1

when i got married this spring, golf was hell with the new hardware on my finger...but as i found out months later, you get used to dragging the ol' bag along with the other one. lol! its a short term curse i guess!

I used to take mine off, until I lost it at a tournament. Won the tournament and celebrated a little too much afterwards. In any event eight months later I found it in the bottom of my golf bag. Coldest eight months I have ever spent.
