Perfect round

Must share this.

Played 18 holes tday. 18 greens in regulation, 14 fairways hit ( all par 4rs and fives). 36 putts. 18 straight pars. Round of 72 level par. Most monotonous round of golf!!! Waited for the putts to drop. Nothing happenned. Frankly didnt know when the round started and when it finished. It was like slicing a knife through butter.A HOT KNIFE.

Hey Vikram,

If only every round could be this boring.

On a somewhat similar note, Gregg McHatton GSED shared this anecdote with me.

He said that when he went to see Mr Kelly, the latter seemed more keen in talking about hitting than swinging; to which Gregg informed Mr Kelly that he was here to learn how to swing.

Mr Kelly: "Swinging is BORING, there is more adventure in hitting!"

The thought

What a game this is Yoda. Every thing was perfect and yet not. Should have shot 6 or 7 under. Had about 10 putts within 10-15 ft. None holed out.

Hadnt been playing all that well lately due to being away from the game and spending my time Teaching Teaching and teaching. Decided this year that I must get back to playing too. Played only four rounds last year.

This was my 5th round of this year and all I thought from start to finish was:

Setup with a 10-2-B, rhythmically swing the club back up and in and return with the PP4 in place with the hands over the left foot at impact and the clubhead lagging the hands and WATCH THAT HAPPEN. I conciously felt it on every shot through the round and every shot was a G.O.L.F. shot.

All in all and not taking the score into account - It was MY PERFECT ROUND though I have shot a 68 in the past, this was the most exhilarating round of golf for me ever.

Very impressive! I am envious, although I don't want your putting statistic. :) The best I have ever done is 13 GIRs (once only). Congratulations!
