Well, I use to put left hand low (several years), so I have MUCH more success with the left side controlling the stroke (more of an accuracy feel). When the right side controls the stroke....I get everything, push, pull, bad distance control, etc. I do set my wedges though with right forearm on plane. So, yes, from the end of my backstroke, my left shoulder/arm pulls the putter head through to the target.
My hinge action is yet to be sorted out, but, I would venture to say that its more of a "no roll feel", especially for short putts, but even for longer ones. I think my natural stroke pattern creates an arc, through the ball, without angled hinging. When I feel angled hinging, I sometimes get pulls (might be ball position though since I play it forward of middle).
I just need to reconcile what elements of TGM terminology apply to my stroke pattern so that I can get more "settled" into what I am trying to accomplish with my practice and overall putting orientation. I mean, is it a push basic stroke (I think not), or what??????
thanks again for any and all help here.
