Why Do The Best Players Use The Stiffest Shafts

Yoda...I am something of a shaft nut (as well as just a nut).

I have to VERY VERY strongly disagree.

There is a shaft that will not UNBEND early for every golfer and it is usually WEAKER than what they play with.

But NO ONE HAS ever fitted them correctly.

I am not arguing that one Shaft may be better (or worse) than another. Nor am Isuggesting that a Player forego proper Club fitting from an individualqualified to do so. In fact, my post deliberately did not address specificShaft characteristics such as the wide variety of flexes, so-called"kick" points, etc.. Nor did I discuss relevant human physicalcharacteristics such as tall or short people, long or short arms, male orfemale sex. My point was that, in my galaxy, Centrifugal Force is thepower connecting the Sweetspot with the #3 Pressure Point, not the shaft!

It is certainly your privilege to disagree, and I respect you for it. But...thefact is that the Shaft supplies only the Centripetal -- not centrifugal! --Force necessary to attach the Clubhead to the #3 Pressure Point. It hasnothing to do with the straight Line of Pull that the employed G.O.L.F.procedure has produced. Instead, it is the passive recipient of thatstress, not the active creator. And, due to its own inertia -- the invisibleSweetspot Line of Pull has none! -- the Shaft has the potential to produceunintentional deviations of the Clubface alignment.
