The Fanning Right Forearm Part 1-A
Thereseems to be a great deal of confusion concerning the fanning Right Forearm(12-5-1, #17) during the Start-Up and into the Backstroke. In reality the moveis simplicity itself. To clear the fog do the following:
1. Without a Club, assume your Adjusted Address positon.
2. Hold your Hands several inches apart, palms facingeach other. Elbows should be slightly bent.
3. Now swing your Hands apart a couple of feet or so andthem clap them. Repeat the move (the clapping) over and over. [Note: This simpleeveryday motion does not require a Pivot, so zero it out!]
4. Once you've got the clapping down -- shouldn't takelong! -- pay attention to what yourRight Forearm is doing. Hint: It is fanning, no more and no less than itmust do in the Start-Up.
When you apply this incredibly simple and natural move toyour G.O.L.F. procedure, you will, of course, need to coordinate it with aclearing Right Hip (in order to permit the Hands to trace their proper route tothe Top).
But...as far as Right Forearm fanning goes, that's it!
[Remember, it's okay if some things really aresimple.]
