Blocking Line of Sight

I'm wondering if someone can point me to the specific sections of HK's book that refer to "the hands blocking the line of sight to the ball"...I heard Yoda in Colin's video mention it in Total Motion but can't seem easily find it in the book..It seems to happen at the end of the downstroke or somewhere into the release...Thanks you

7-8

I believe 7-8 (Impact Fix) references this appearance of covering the left toe. I recall HK writing that it separates pros from hackers!

No Ball in Sight

Thanks again Okie for your help..That's all I remember reading too...but the TM Colin video got me thinking there must be someplace else as well..:headbang:

Your welcome. There may be other references. 7-8 was from memory...I am getting better at that. HK tried not to repeat himself. Personally I am glad the yella book is portable!

Not sure if I got you covered

Mashie,

Try 6-B-1-C and 6-M-1 second paragraph. Now if you are looking for hands blocking (?), try 6-E-2 and 6-C-2-A. I am not sure the context in which your description applies, but maybe try these for starters. What video was it mentioned?

Visual Blockage

Drewitgolf,

Thanks for your reply..I'll check out those two sections soon..I'm pretty sure it's Chapter 4 with Colin on Total Motion..Near the end of the shortish video Yoda puts Colins hands in Colin's line-of-sight with the ball blocking the view of the ball..

BTW is your GC a Donald Ross special?\\:D/

Yes, Donald Ross did design one of our holes (#7) after one hole (# eight) was eliminated. The rest of the course was here long before Mr. Ross, but he use to play here regularly when he lived in North Attleboro, MA and had an office in Sakonet, RI. He married a local girl from the Blackinton family.

Are you a member of the Donald Ross Society?

Donald Ross Society

Never heard of such a thing..I remember having lunch @ Pinehurst and there was a small but nice tribute to him downtown..Didn't think there was anything more..I'd be happy to look into it if you have a link..Thanks

I'm just a big fan of his designs..Growing up in NE my high school team we were fortunate to play Salem CC every week and thought nothing of it at the time..

Salem is a classic - they held the US Senior Open there several years ago where I walked a practice round with a friend who had qualified at 60+ yrs old.
