It said on the PGA site there will be 2 more workshops. I am PGA apprentice in Wilmington, NC. I would love to attend all of them, but days off are hard to come by. I'm just making sure there will be more. The March workshop will be tough to get too.

2010 Carolinas PGA Workshop Schedule

Thanks for your interest and question. Rick Murphy has asked me to do two additional workshops this year. Nothing yet has been decided, but we are tentatively thinking about this Summer and Fall. The original idea was for each seminar to have a different emphasis. Not hard to do with the wealth of information we have available! However, it may be that we just present the same seminar -- actually, no two are ever exactly alike! -- on multiple occasions. As I've said, nothing yet has been decided regarding future Carolinas seminars. My whole goal at the moment is to make the upcoming March 15-16 presentation the best of my career. I had already tweaked the basic Power Point presentation I did for my four-hour, main platform presentation at the 2005 PGA of Sweden's Coaching and Teaching Summit. Then, for my presentation last month to the Aloha Section at Ko Olina Golf Club in Oahu, Hawaii, I employed a professional and added a lot of bells and whistles (video, music, enhanced graphics, animations, photos, etc.). In preparing for The Carolinas, I have done even more. In fact, I spent all day today working on the presentation. And, I'm not done yet. My advice is to do your best to make this event. Carpe diem. Still, I understand that circumstances often prevent attendance, and I will do my best to accommodate those who could not make this one. :golfcart2: |
Wow, that sounds pretty good. I will do my best to try and make it.

Hitman,
as they say in the ads - Just Do It. You can be pretty sure that NO other PGA apprentice will be attending or would even think of getting their knowledge ahead of their peers the way you are. Regardless of the cost and time, you WILL make it back over the years when you become a better player AND teacher as a result of attending. Don't even think about it, book your place and worry about the time and cost later! :salut: |
Yeah, I think this is quite the opportunity. Hank Haney is speaking at our section meeting, but I will be at PGA school that week (almost done). It is funny because missing his speech does not bother me, but missing Lynn would. Hopefully the rest of the section realize this opportunity, but most of them only look at the top 100 list of golf pros.

Good to see a young man who has his priorities right.:salut: Hopefully the rest of the section will see the light, eventually. |

Rick and I were asked early on by the 'powers that be' to move our earlier scheduled dates -- which we did -- to avoid any conflict. Gotta luv it! :3gears: |

Good Luck with the successful completion of your PGA apprenticeship. I would strongly encourage you to try and attend this workshop. Especially since it so close and the content of material, quality of instructors and the cost cannot be beat (this I can unequivically guarantee). The experience will accelerate your teaching career exponentially. This advice is so good,I am taking it myself. Hope to see you there. Michael Phillips PGA, GSEB |
I just got the big thumbs up from my boss today! I'm pretty excited.
