golf channel reveals 4 finalist tommorrow
Ive been checking back on the golf channel website to see when they will reveal the 4 finalist. It looks like tommorrow is the day i guess they get voted for from there. i would really like to see lynn on tv it would be great to actually have an instructor on tv that has a total understanding of alignments not just regurgitating all the drills and basics we have heard a million times that havent helped golfers get better. Any inside word on who the finalist are. Or what happens here on forward.

Of those, an easy choice - Martin Hall. He's been one of my favorites for a long time, with a unique ability to simplify, and a strong background in TGM - including time with Yoda. |

Interesting---both Martin Hall and Karen Palacios-Jansen have been on Academy Live in the past. Was hoping they would actually look for somebody "new". I voted for Martin Hall--at least he is entertaining to watch and is an AI.

I really like Martin Hall, always fun to listen to, and great information. I was really surprised how much I enjoyed Wayne Players presentation. I couldn't stop laughing when he said "Even the French were smart enough to build the Eiffel tower wider at the bottom than the top." Classic. I think Karen does a really nice job as well...
Well, our guys did a great job with their presentations. I'm sure picking the top three was a difficult task. Good luck to the finalists, and the others should feel very proud of the job they did representing us. Kevin |
If not now, when?
As an LBG fan; a student of TGM, I am bitterly disappointed. Without wishing to be condescending, perhaps they weren't ready for the true substance contained in the presentations. One consolation is that I can enjoy (and learn) Lynn and Ted's presentations, over and over again.
Now taking off my diplomatic hat -- their choice stinks. :mad: Ah, I feel better now. |
TGC did not wish to make the rest of their presenters look so dumb.
Good luck to Martin of course. One of the good guys who could be the thin edge of the wedge if he gets to do 'guests'. |

In fact, two days ago her YouTube Instructor Search video views numbered only 363 (now boosted by her selection to 523). That versus my own -- pardon the statement of fact -- at 7,057. Next in line (by my quick survey, but there may have been others) was Jeff Ritter at 4,689. For the record, here's a list of The Golf Channel instructors published by TGC itself prior to the contest starting. If your web sales are booming that should be some satisfaction. As I have mentioned people vote with their feet and their pocketbooks!. So all is not lost
