Hitting using PA 1 and 2

What would I give up if I only sought to use PA 1 and 2 in a hitting stroke. If PA 1 is the angle of the right elbow and PA is the left wrist cock PA 3 is the swivel of the left for arm? Can you just take a strong grip and minimize #3. I am trying to eliminate duck hooking and improve my overall contact.

Thanks

Carl

No, grip strength just affects face angle. Actuation of PA#3, called Throwout, is not the act of rotating the left forearm. It is the roll of the #3 angle, but the axis of rotation is not the left forearm. It's best understood as the act of the LFW moving off plane as the RFW moves towards it's on-plane condition at impact.

The best way to eliminate duck hooking is to hit the inside quadrant of the ball with an on-plane clubhead.
