Minnesota TGM'ers...

hi, I am new to the LBG site and TGM, and would like to know who lives in the MN area on the forum. Are any AI's close up here in the frozen tundra? Maybe a Minnesota TGM golf outing?

Just some ideas...

cheers.

our own Kev Carter for one. But I just heard he quit teaching...... strike that one from my bucket list. Just kidding I think he's too busy to teach much but bet he can fix you up. Look him up.

If I remember well Kevin moved to north WI

Spalding, Kevin Carter is in northern wisconsin three hours away or so from the twin cities. I have worked with Kevin and he is a great teacher and a great guy. I strongly reccomend connecting with him on this site via messaging and getting up to see him. It will be worth the trip. He is not an AI but is a LBG instructor who has worked with Lynn, so his pedigree is tops. An AI in the area that is recognized by the golfing machine is Brad Pluth in Chanhassen. Brad is a solid instructor as well.

Thanks Dodger! I was thinking the same thing... :)

Hi guys, thanks for the kind words!

I am back behind a desk, but thats a good thing as my back won't let me stand around the range very long. I'm afraid my playing and teaching days are over, but I have very fond memories of my time with YODA and all my studies of the little yellow book. I wish I could have had a chance to really put it to good use...

Besides Brad Pluth, who is a wonderful teacher, both Dodger and Jerry Gruepner are good friends and excellent students of TGM. You guys should get together! Another wonderful teacher who hangs around here but doesn't post is Dave Sanchez up at the Refuge. If you want to learn some Lynn Blake/Homer Kelley Right Forearm Magic in Minnesota, Dave is your Man!

Oh, you guys! I went up to Turtleback with pal Kevin Sweeney (another TGMer) and we had a fantastic day bothering Kev Carter, playing golf on a beautiful golf course and devouring the best french fries I've had. The golf course was great fun and the visit was a hoot. We met some uniquely interesting people such as the supt. who actually built the course and a fellow that used to work in the company at Rice Lake, WI that built all the laminated wood heads for Wilson and other club companies.
The course is beautiful, challenging and great fun. Get your fannies up there if you can. I'm going again in Sept.
Spalding, shoot me a note and let's connect for some golf. Dodger, I'll send you a note shortly.
