LOL and yes. I'd take it too.

It turned out I did make the cut since one of the other participants bailed out due to back pain. Had I only got myself down there this morning I'd been playing. Opportunity lost, but self-esteem restored!

Instead one of my main golfing buddies won by one shot finishing double-double-birdie for a 75 in brutal conditions (wind+heavy rain). He's at home having downed halv a bottle of wine and just called me. I've congratulated him & took some real pleasure in listening to every single shot and every intricate detail of his round.

Me? Well I was off for another stroke play HCP tournament. I did not manage to win it, but I DID manage to bring the scorecard with the lowest gross score to the clubhouse. So its all good.
