With standard wrist action there is a sequenced release...uncocking and then rolling, correct? When you are using single wrist action do you start the roll of the flat left wrist in a conscious manner while straightening your right arm? I understand that it is a gradual roll, but it seems like it would be like one big hinge action. Help!

Additional query: does the straightening right elbow retard the rolling of the flat left wrist and thus produce angled hinging?

No, even Hitters have roll- all strokes have roll/rhythm.
