Throw away can happen if the pivot doesn't work properly. 'trying' to throw with a proper pivot (sequence) supporting the motion can lead to a great feel for lag pressure if the throw is in the proper direction (downplane to both arms straight). Austin uses an 'uncock' then 'roll', such that when he talks about 'throwing' the club, it is the 'uncock' that he is talking about, the 'roll' is imparted by the pivot.
