The left arm is farther behind the body at this stage than the way I was taught by my range professional many years ago. Maybe he taught it to me a different way because I was not a low handicapper. I guess you're familiar with the visualization that at this point the hands are in the middle of the chest (taught by the Leadbetter instructors I've seen on TV). On the downswing, with the J. Mudd pic, when the left arm is parallel to the ground, it looks like the left arm is also parallel to the target line. Is this the standard position?
