Sorry for posting to the general folder, I'm not sure where this one should go....
My question is simple. Where should the driver arc bottom out? I keep hearing different viewpoints on this. Some say you should catch the ball on the slight "upsweep". Others say the driver arc should bottom out at or slightly after the ball.
"Golf My Way" was my first instructional book. I'm pretty sure Jack said to sweep it.
Thanks for your time....
The Low Point is always opposite the Center of the Stroke. And per 1-F, theLeft Shoulder is always that Center (unless the Right Elbow replaces it per10-3-K). So, for the Basic Stroke Patterns of 12-1-0 and 12-2-0 and allcatalogued variations other than 10-3-K, the Low Point of a Geometricallycorrect Stroke is opposite the Left Shoulder. From Drive to Putt. Andwhether the Ball is teed or on the ground.
However, per 2-C-3, when the player allows the Left Wrist to Bend, intentionally or otherwise, that Bent Left Wrist disrupts the normalShoulder-to-Ball Radius established at Impact Fix (2-J-1) and replaces the LeftShoulder as Center. The Low Point will then be directly opposite the Bent LeftWrist.
