In this video, Jeff, Ted and Lynn discuss various elements of the Address Routine and differentiate the alignments of Hitters (Ted) and Swingers (Jeff).
So much information! It really is a priceless gift - 3 guys just talking G.O.L.F. and sorting out all the misconceptions / grey areas that have accumulated over my last 11 months of TGM reading.
Thanks to Lynn, Ted and Jeff AND everyone else involved in getting these videos to the gallery.
I know that we have may options with in the Simialarities and Differences of the Golfing Machine. So . . . what about a Swinger using Fix Address?
I know that Homer Kelley believed that the Swinger who knew how to Hit would be a much better Swinger as a result of Hitting being solely reliant on the Flying Wedge Alignments in particular the Right Forearm Flying Wedge.
In the video on the the Wedges and Straight Line Delivery Path of the Hands Pokechop expertly points out that some players may get the Right Forearm Flying Wedge out of its in-line relationship and then re-align it. By employing Standard Address the Swingers Right Forearm Flying Wedge is not in its in line Fix relationship and thus must be aligned at Start-Up or later. Of course this is different than what is demonstrated in the video by Cocking the Right Wrist or having the grip under the right hand heel pad.
What would be the problem with a Swinger establishing the Right Forearm Flying Wedge at Fix and not going back to Adjusted Address.
I could certainly stand corrected by I believe that my peerless mentor Eddie "the Truth" Cox is one Machinist that is a Swinger from Fix.
What could be the potential draw-backs of this?

The biggest issue is that a swinger would tend to get inside and off plane very easily from a fix address. The hitter can use the 'carry back' to take the right forearm straight up the plane, and can avoid this problem.
