Yea, you can't get a word out of him unless you just happen to be in the same zip code.
Since this thread has to do with old blades, I'd like to report that the two 6 irons I hit outside today were with an old MacGregor Colokrom (sp?) club. Not much room for error on that face and it still felt wonderful.[/quote]

I got some of them too . . . copper faces? I'm trying to score some split soles and some hogan bounce soles too . . . I hadn't thought about going to good will . . . I'm on that . . . people have figured out "vintage" on e-bay . . . I got my colokrom's for $2 on ebay . . . full set . . cost more to ship 'em. Can't find deals like that no more. Got some Precisions off a cat for $25. Would love to have some nicklaus vips. Got the murfields . . sweet.

e-bay has ruined finding much vintage stuff (like fountain pens). I've only ever seen old golf clubs at the Goodwill and Salvation Army -- nothing even remotely new (as in 80's new), but I think people don't think about old golf clubs having value. Let's keep it that way...

You and Bartley are two wonderful playing partners. We'll be sure to line up some rounds next summer after your reunion in Iowa. Bart seems to be independently wealthy and available at the drop of a hat. I'll bet his ball striking is even better next year than last and it was pretty darned good then.
