IMO, there are more consistent graphite shafts available today than 10 years ago. And perhaps longer too.
The heads are longer. Higher lanch and less spin.
I believe the heads are more consistent too. But not neccessarily more workable.
But as always - the most important is to find something that works for you. I wouldn't recommend you to reshaft with original Callaway shaft though. I believe much better shafts are available.
