What a great event. I personally experienced an almost vertical learning curve. It would have taken me years to even come close to gathering so much information relating to TGM. And on top of that; meeting such a superb bunch of golf geeks.
I started writing sort of a diary of my road to TGM on the flight back home. After some time it turned out it could be material for an entire book. The aftermath of the Bash and other things I did in the US is overwhelming. A complete golf near overdose.
I tipped off my trip by a solid par-birdie finish playing TPC Sawgrass from the tips. Found center of green on 17. Made par. Then clearkeyed that curving 6-footer on 18 & got the birdie on one of the hardest holes on tour (I guess). Was a superb way to finish. Straight up to the locker room. A shower and off to the airport.
Since then I have basically been on flights for quite some time & just got in. My golfbag is delayed and so is the camera. As soon as I get it I'll post a few pics.
Just wanted to throw a post saying:
- Randy (the owner & maire of Destin BTW ) really set up an excellent event. Lots of VERY good thinking behind it.
- Understatement: Yoda, Yodasluke, Chuck & Dr. Carey severely failed to disappoint.
- Really good to meet all you TGM geeks.
