Martin green push video
I had the martin Green videos for some time but did not like them since they were about hitting and not swinging. Now I am a convert and it appears many of the things mentioned in hitting are on the videos. Has anyone seen these videos and would comment on the quality of the information and the value of the drills that he has.

thanks

Dave

Martin Green was associated with Peter Croker. He teaches a Strong Double Action grip, a clubface square to the plane and a Straight Line Delivery Path, which are reinforced in his drill video. He also favors leaving the weight on the front side but only mentions this briefly in his "stable base" discussion and uses photos to illustrate.

Thanks for your response. I also have the Croker tapes so it might not hurt unless It is inconsitent with the hitting procedure that Ted and Yoda started me on. Do you think there is some merit to the tapes?

Dave~

Croker has several tapes. Do you have Hit Basics? There are differences between Croker and Green. Because of these differences and Croker seemingly not in the mainstream of TGM, I would be cautious although Hit Basics may be a "short course!"

OTOH, if you have a "procedure that Ted and Yoda started me on" why would you need another source? If you need drills, I would recommend that you return to the those closest to Homer Kelley and that is Yoda/Ted.

FWIW!

That is basically what I am doing. Looking at the tapes is just to relax and look and listen to vidoes based on hitting to see if their words or visuals make clearer some of the fuzzier areas I am trying to address and their drills may cover similar topics so I can add some variety and eliminate boredom. Base on most questions I have asked the dowel drills and the impact bag drills seem to be the big ones. Of course the focus is on the right forearm for hitting. Interesting enough just about every drill on the martin green dvd I have found on tgm sites.

Bottom line I have them but did not pay much attention to them since I was a swinger now trying to convert to a hitter so I might be able to get something out of them.

I can't always get it to play but for another drill you might review the Gallery video, Right Forearm/Hole'ies & Pole'ies. Good luck.

That one is one of the one's assigned by by ted. Looking at the video it is clearer to see how imortant it is to get the right forearm lined up before you do it and start at impact fix.

If you have trouble seeing the videos what I do is right click on the video you want to watch and select target. This will download the video and then you can watch it direct from your computer when you want to watch.
