Grips and roll
I'm a swinger who has recently switched from a "strong" 10-2-D grip to a slightly weaker 10-2-B grip. I'm hitting all of my irons straight and high right

Strangely if I set up with the clubface even with a short iron aimed 45 deg right of the target (i'm right handed) I find it easier to square the face and hit the ball straight (as i've got to square the face to hit it half decent).

If i aim the face at the target then it's going high right again.

Although the compensation is working on the short shots i lose it when moving to a bigger swing.

I'm making nice ball then divot contact as well

Is this something mechanical or mental?

Thanks
