Anyone got any ideas how to take reduce Downstroke(Float) loading of the wrists....especially in the short game? I realize that one could go to drive loading, but what about a person who Downstroke loads (Float) into a Drag Loading Procedure.... How can we temper it down without total removal of the procedure?
I really like the Hit Drive stroke for the short game but I think Swingers love to stay long in the backstroke. A shorter stroke may eliminate some of the time it takes to integrate the float.

This is reminiscent of our phone conversation the other day. I know I recommended introducing drive loading for these shots to help reduce the speed, but since in your post above you ask for a swinging alternative, I would instuct your student to utilize LESS AXIS TILT, which as you know,
will encourage an earlier alignment of the flail and a slower , softer impact.
I like to make the stroke holding the club with the grip end down, like using a dowel. The lack of weight helps to reduce momentum and makes the wrists feel quiet. Then repeat with the clubhead down and retain the same feel to help remove or lessen the float loading.

Despite its characteristic 'lazy' motion, Float Loading needs structure:
1. Use Extensor Action throughout the Backstroke to stretch the Left Arm and remove all Wrist Wobble.
2. At the Top, have the butt end of the Club pointed directly at the Ball.
3. Finally, maintain a strong Extensor Action as the Start Down's Float Load takes the Butt directly on this Line Path.
