What does the
"Golfing Machine" think of a weight shift? How do we get the weight shift?

Homer said that any hip turn is a weight shift.
Homer never wrote about a non-weight shift unless you don't pivot, such as with a putt stroke.

A sway is NOT a weight shift but just a sway.

TGM is a book , a catalogue of swing components( arms hand feet). And explaining how interchanging the components will clash or compatible, basic geometry alignment people need to have and basic motion why, how .

It does have a basic model, not a fixed one.

so. you can shift your weight, or you don't . as long as your head stays relatively center and constant. You can setup your weight left to make low shots, or keep your weight right to make high shots.

TGM or Kelly do not care what you are doing... As long u understand what you are doing it for.

cheers!

Succinctly put, Nuke. And as Homer Kelley himself would say...

"Kee-rect!"

Even Clubhead Throwaway can be a useful procedure when intentionally applied.

I'm not sure if the weight can be shifted without the head being moved.

YOU load and sustain the "LAG", during which the "LAW" releases it, ideally beyond impact.
"Sustain (Yang/陽) the lag (Yin/陰)" is "the unification of Ying and Yang" (陰陽合一).
The "LAW" creates the "effect", which is the "motion" or "feel", with the "cause", which is the "intent" or "command".
"Lag" is the secret of golf, passion is the secret of life.
Think as a golfer, execute like a robot.
Rotate, twist, spin, turn.
Bend the shaft.

It sure can! Yoda showed me recently and I finally get it. It's all about the proper pivot. See the McDonald drills posted on the site.
