I especially like the one of Tiger hitting driver. I wonder how a different announcer would try to explain how he hits his driver on the upswing when the water is spraying off the club and ground after impact.

Good catch, BBax. Right you are!
I only hope that Tiger doesn't listen to the 'hit up' announcers. If he does, the results are likely to be disastrous. Unless, of course, he tees it further Forward in his Stance (outside his Left Shoulder) and Inward in accordance with his Impact Alignments. Also, since this will automatically put the Clubhead on an Upward path, he'll need to tee the ball higher.
Otherwise, 'hitting up' will produce inconsistent results, and the field has a chance!

I for one would like to know how you can tell he isn't because I sure can't tell given this camera angle. Don't know that I could tell with a face on view either because the human eye can't process images that quickly.
Tiger often tees the ball low for certain shots as mentioned in the Match Play. If you notice, the tee comes out of the ground, but there is no divot flying through the air. Did Tiger try to hit a boring shot here? Was he hitting a stinger or was he attempting a maximum distance tee shot? Unless you are analyzing frame by frame, no one knows so your assumption may be invalid.

Anybody notice in the Choi face-on view that it looks like he loses lag pressure at the end of his backswing before the start down? Looks like the clubhead rebounds a bit.
