Thankds OB left. Always thought Snead was the best. Majors were looked at different back in the day. Just had trouble with US open. Also was not revered like some. Like Hogan, who was my idol as a kid.

Think I know what you mean about the majors back then.
Im 50 now. I bought Five Lessons as a kid and marveled at the drawings and prose but Snead was my man back then. Him and Trevino. I played Wilson blades 'cause of him. I saw the Slammer play several times at the Canadian Open. One time playing with John Schlee in Montreal. He was really old to me, heck maybe 50 ish. Wish I could kick the top of a door jam right now, Im having trouble getting my shoes on. Anyways his swing was so smooth , he made it look easy, still hit it long. The side saddle putting seemed such a cruel betrayal, he hit it so well form tee to green.
He won on tour in his 50's but probably could have won a lot more if not for the putting thing. Counting the seniors he won tournaments in six different decades. Oldest winner on the regular tour ever. Shot his age on tour.
I regret never traveling down to meet him. Would have loved to been his pigeon for a few bucks. Should have done it with Moe too. Shucks.
There was a US Open late in Snead's career where he was in the hunt on saturday.......man was I screaming at the tv set. His record number of wins might be Tigers last frontier. But he always maintained he won about 20 more than the record shows ...... I dont know Tiger, you might need to get a little more "oily" to last that long!
Just read that Snead had 89 tour wins and 70 other wins world wide!!! Not sure if that includes seniors or not.
Tiger start strechn' and gett'n all oily (although Im not too worried about you). Maybe just put a photo of the Slammer over top of your bed like you did with Jack's major records when you were a kid or something.
Thanks Golfbulldog although I dont think that is it ............it's still fantastic footage. Amazing new stuff for me.
You know whats interesting to me is that against the grid Hogan's left side was sliding around on the hard studio floor (no spikes) where as Sam seemed ok. Maybe he had rubber soles on or something , those white soled shoes look odd maybe they are old basketball shoes?
Or maybe he loaded his left side more smoothly. Hogan had that extra spike in his custom english Maxwell golf shoes for a reason.
PS KOC I love that Hogan RFT video of yours. The look on the other pros face was so "well Ill be danged". His hat was tilted up, shaking his head, he was seriously taken aback.
Do you know who the other pro was? Looks a bit like Gene Littler. Is this a Blakebuster movie? I am convinced Mr Hogan was talking RFT.

Im still wondering who the other pro is here, the man in the yellow sweater. Wonder what Hogan was laying on him too.....sure looks like something about the right arm during the takeaway.
Did anybody ever get a chance to ask Mr Burke about this?
