No, Mike, the range itself has been there for years and is fully-grassed. What you're seeing in front of the building -- all that Georgia red clay -- is the new teeing ground under construction. In fact, just today that area was lowered and 'laser leveled'. Next comes the underlying peat, and behind that, the Bermuda sod.

Won't be long now!

New Photos!?

Make sure that you hit the first ball off the new teeing area - there is a rumor that Fort is planning a covert hitting attack in order to get the first shot! Security Please!

We're about a week away, Mike. Front yard sod is down, and the furniture is in. Not to mention the fridge, dishwasher and ice maker (already full!). I've got bunches of photos in my Blackberry. Just got to get'em to Bambam for a slide show.

These are exciting days.

Stay tuned!

Just got this in the mail from GolfWeek:

And that assessment was made before the April opening of the new $400,000 Lynn Blake Golf Performance Center at Cuscowilla.

Gotta luv it!
