Dang Edz how simple is that? Thank you for the kudos as well. I pretty much hate my golf swing! So do you think the right hand is rolled and uncocked? That makes great sense to me. Thank you for that. I really appreciate your expertise. I am amazed at your willingness to help pro bono.
Thanks OB
I drive load. As for the barrels I am pretentious enough to attempt all four. I cannot for the life of me relegate the right arm to passivity, I am not that thrusting. To be honest trying (I stress trying) to use them all has impacted accuracy as much as it has power. Power golf is good golf. With hitting you have to be aware of that the right elbow is doing. That is true for swinging as well but in a different way. To me (and perhaps just me)non automatic sweep releases can add a variable of inconsistency. As I age my hands will slow down like everything else (except for the growth of unsightly hair in my ears)Like everyone else I want something for nothing i.e. automatic snap releases!
Shoulder throw for sure. I do not have to worry about the right arm straightening...it does that all by itself it seems. I have struggled with single wrist action in that I tend to get too shut faced with it (I overdo the shaft lean at address at times)
From 175 I used to in between a 7 and a 6, now it is just a 7
The closed club face can be the perfect companion to Angled Hinging. Angled Hinging is a natural product of Thrusting. Your pivot is very good which in the absence of Thrusting will tend you towards ......Horizontal Hinging and a pull maybe?
I only say this cause a while back you mentioned "resisting CF" or something like that. Are you trying to not straighten your right arm?
Man, Im wondering if you could hit that 7 iron 190 with a little Right Arm Throw added in there after the shoulder throw. You should send Luke some film, he's a guru master at fine tuning the impact zone, throws, delayed release, hand speed vs clubhead speed etc.
You are down to the finishing touches Id say. Well done. Forget about all those pretty little #2 Angle guys out there and their Snap Releases. God has graced you with a whole lot of compatible components .........dont mess them up. A later Release? For sure, fine and dandy, see Luke.
Oh oh I think Im about to get kicked out of the Swingers Emergency room. "Code blue. We got some thrusters in the Swingers lounge area."
Yeah, I just remembered that this was a swinger's thread! Sorry, but I just don't care about threadjacking anymore Shut is good for an angled hinge, too shut is good for nothing. OB, I am not trying to keep my arm out of it, just improve the timing of when it does its thang...you dig? That is where the shoulder throw comes in handy Edz may have just given me a golden nugget. The earlier the right elbow get into the mix, the fashionably later it will come to the party. I feel that my right knee should work in a little more towards my left, and that there should be some weight on the pad beneath my big right toe. As a result, not a cause. My goal is to eliminate the left side, outside of the vertical hinge option! And do so while hitting it as hard as I can. As you suggest hitting is all about manhood!
Gotta insert a smiley face if you want to say things like that! What can we say, swingers are short a barrel! Mississipians would all agree that testosterone levels rise once you cross the state line! But as far as machismo is concerned we all still have a lot to learn from our friends down under!

Gotta wear that one Okie. We do have our fair share down here too (even among swingers) but I imagine a rise in testosterone level would be the last thing you would need if you were heading to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for therapy unless they could teach you how to redirect it..
Yes...redirect IT...at swingers! Mississippi ain't got nothing on Oklahoma though.A lot of yeehah in these here parts, pards.
Edz, you are a genius! I turned my right hand a little under (level)and wham! My elbow bent nicely in start up, I even had a little more #2, and it appears as though I had a little more #1 at impact. An adjustment of 3/5's of inch, if that. Damn game.

Great. So is that 10-2-D would you say? Turned Left , Vertical, Level right? Do you feel like this allows the Right Arm to be relaxed? The right forearm just sort of hangs there, on plane and ready to do its thing.
As a total aside, I found personally that with the Right Wrist frozen in its fix position or frozen after it reestablishes its fix position in Startup from adjusted ............the left hand will not arch at Top and the LAFW will be maintained allowing for an on plane left wrist cock and a tad more #2 Angle. Not that I give a rats rear end about #2 angle or anything......but it sure looks great on video eh? I tend to bend the right hand back on itself too much, a false feel of wristcock, rubber wrists and an off plane cocking of the Left Hand , an arch resulting and a #2 angle block. I had chased it by trying to not arch the left but it was the right that was doing it all along.
Luke spotted that death move of mine. It was a super easy fix after years of searching.
(other than "Don't choke you bastard!")is "Drive the right shoulder down until you hit dirt...then drive some more...you bastard!"
OB,
This may be the best advice I have seen since my dad told me it was just as easy to fall in love with a rich girl as a poor girl.
Unfortunately, I didn't pay real close attention to him, but I hope to take yours to the bank.

Thanks Jerry
But I think it was Okie that coined those words of wisdom. (I dont swear like he does).
If I may Jerry, Id say that if you are in love with her, then you are a rich man. And if you drive the right shoulder you are one rich, ball striking bastard, Jerry G.
A good amount of #2 helps with making sure that the hands get a nice headstart, giving the sweetspot something to chase! As for the grip, 10-2-D seems to be knuckle neutral for me, but my left hand is not quite 45* turned. I cringe at the years I spent trying to weaken it, when based on preliminary results I should have strengthened the right hand. Again, thank you Edz. Tough to get your right forearm anywhere near on plane with a rolled right hand. It also does not help with the RFTA. I turned it a smidge and I could immediately feel my right elbow respond. So the right forearm responded to the alignments of the hands. I feel the RFA pickup a little better. Feels uncomfortable the longer the shaft, but I think it is going to help.
Jerry, I big aha for me was learning the the right shoulder is the liason between the power package and the pivot...train it!
