I have written many times regarding the counter-intuitive downstroke clubshaft performance. In fact, I taught it thirty years ago. You add nothing new -- but apparently think you do -- as you continue to beat this two-dollar tom-tom.

Meanwhile, my very important message was to "Keep the head and the ball behind the hands". Did you get that? I hope so.

For sure, I never once mentioned the clubshaft and its bend (backward, forward, or whatever). And why not? Because it ain't about the clubshaft!

You hit the ball with forward-leaning (left shoulder-to-ball) Clubhead Lag Pressure Point Pressure. That pressure is felt in the hands and maintained on the clubshaft. The clubshaft itself and its bend are immaterial.

Can we give this one a rest now, please?
