Left arm putting stroke

Comment on Croker's putting stroke?

He is teaching using the left hand to push back (with the right hand as resistance), and on the forward stroke, the left hand push the putter towards the hole (or the intended line).

Never heard about using left as a control and power other than the left hand low stroke. Is this a good way for putting and control the distance?
