Holy Pole ies....
A new personal record for me today. Out of about 70 balls at the range today, 5 pole-ies - including three in a row (never done that before).
54 deg wedge 3/4 swing to 100 yard pin sitting on an upside down bowl 'green' about 10 yards wide.
Thanks for the review of alignments at Henrico Lynn -

That is just plain awesome! After the 3 in a row the wind probably changed directions by a degree.

The reason you can't sustain the lag is because you are so eager to make the club move fast (a reaction to the intent of "hitting it far"). So on a full shot you throw it away too early, which doesn't happen for your short chip. (bts)

That must have been it!
Actually, the thing that really amazed me about the three in a row was that there really was a wind blowing. Nothing strong, but about 1/2 club worth.
Now if I can just get that putter going......

I remember you said recently that you were working on hitting. Did you hit, swing, or both for the polies?

3/4 Swing, from impact fix, for the 3 in a row
one of the others was a hit, the last was a swing

Birds of a Feather
Ed,
I don't care what your sig says about friends.
You love Golf, you love TGM, you love hit'in Polies, you're my friend!
But dang...3 in a row from 100 is somethin else!
Maybe you should start a thread on being "In the EdZone". That is amazing!
