Now that was funny . . . I still say we send the birds to your house to give your Gremlin a new paint job . . . au naturale.

Unfortunate incidident
I understand hjack's position. He values life and feels like Tripp did it on purpose because he continually hit at the bird. hjack also has no vested interest in Tripp Isenhour and will likely never meet him or even pass by and say "hello"
I also understand Lynn's position, but he is in a little different place being a PGA Tour instructor.....remember, the Tour is a chummy place and I'm sure it would get back to Tripp Isenhour if Lynn were on here bashing him to kingdom come. Nobody needs icy relations in the place where they work, especially in a situation where every one you meet is a potential client.
Not saying anyone has an "agenda" just pointing out that these two look at this situation a lot differently simply because of "logistics"

Give the nerd a break!
What!!!
What about my position???
I started this thread and it got dumped on by PETA.
Now the UN is involved.
I'm doing my best to keep Code Pink out of here but MikeO is the poster boy.
I just want to know what to call a "Hawk" when it happens.

Your position is well noted
I personally like the definition of a hawk being a situation where you hit a shot too precise for your own good
Examples:
Charles Howell at the Buick
Tiger at the Masters a couple of years ago
Both of these were situations where the ball hit the flagstick and went into the water or other hazard
Example use:
"he hawked it off the flagstick and took dub"

hjack demanded that Tripp Isenhour -- who, by the way, I have never met -- suffer a one-year career suspension and perform 1,000 hours of community service as punishment for his alledged crime. My rebutting post #9 labeled that penalty "a bit extreme" and explained why I felt that way.
Does anyone else -- 'on tour' or not -- think such extreme punishment is warranted?
Anyone?
Sadly, as in 17th century Salem, probably so.

Demanded???????????
NO NO LYNN
I NEVER DEMANDED ANYTHING

I said my suggestion is no jail time......but off the tour for 1 year
and 1000 hours working with animal protection services.
to glcoach
altho i do believe your post would be accurate for most people......i will say this......I DON'T BELIEVE IT APPLIES TO LYNN................IF LYNN BELIEVED THAT THE ACT WAS DONE ON PURPOSE....(WHICH HE DOESN'T) EVEN IF HE HAD THE CHANCE HE WOULDN'T TEACH ANYONE WITH THAT MINDSET.........YES LYNN AND I DISAGREE...BUT HE IS AN HONORABLE MAN.....AND WE HAVE A SIMILAR VALUE SYSTEM...................
