I like the setup a lot, can't wait to see it up and running. I have a week off in March...wonder if I can move it to the end of it :laughing9
Alex

That would be great, Alex. Love to see you again!

We will be coordinating a number of 'grand opening' activities after we give the center its finishing touches. I will put them up as soon as we have the schedule.

:salut:

A Homer on the Range

It is built on a strong foundation...LBG.

Thats beautiful Lynn. I dont know of anything like it. Certainly not up here anyways.

Im thinking a nice old fashioned set of wooden dowels would look good mounted on one those walls. Maybe a venerable old warped set that somehow made their way to the practice tee of the 2010 Masters?

Heck, bring the flag from 18 and the trophy with you too while your at it.

Lynn,
It may have been in an earlier post (I didn't go back and review the thread) but it looks like the whole range is brand new? Are they seeding it? When will it be up and running with grass landing areas?

Since no one has posted to this since I posted at 7:27PM yesterday - I thought I would "bump" this post again.

LBG Learning Center is at the other end of Cuscowilla's enormous range. The area that abuts (play with that Bucket) the two is probably Ground under repair.

Nice :)

I'd ask it again but then it would be an old post - :confused1
Based on your post count - you have issues!

Then there's "In the MOW" - I mean 1034 posts - pure torture!

Help me Mr. Wizard!?!? Take me home!

No, Mike, the range itself has been there for years and is fully-grassed. What you're seeing in front of the building -- all that Georgia red clay -- is the new teeing ground under construction. In fact, just today that area was lowered and 'laser leveled'. Next comes the underlying peat, and behind that, the Bermuda sod.

Won't be long now!

New Photos!?

Make sure that you hit the first ball off the new teeing area - there is a rumor that Fort is planning a covert hitting attack in order to get the first shot! Security Please! :)

We're about a week away, Mike. Front yard sod is down, and the furniture is in. Not to mention the fridge, dishwasher and ice maker (already full!). I've got bunches of photos in my Blackberry. Just got to get'em to Bambam for a slide show.

These are exciting days.

Stay tuned!

And that assessment was made before the April opening of the new $400,000 Lynn Blake Golf Performance Center at Cuscowilla.

Gotta luv it!
