And he has no hip action as a result of all of the above. LPGA material. Like Sergio.

Hook grip, slice swing, straight ball flight. I'll give you that it is a compensation, but I think it is ideal. You can kill it with minimal clubface rotation, minimizing side spin.

Meanwhile a guy that started up Natural Golf is still claiming that people like Jim Furyk are so accurate because of pure talent. Too many have done it too effectively for me to buy that argument.

I've heard he can hit it long but really tries to control it on the course.

I'm not saying that strong grip and hard rotation guarantees power, that is for sure. Need to have the body for it. I can't imagine push elbow has ever made a swinger hit it longer.

Do you think these are "compensations" or compatible components?

Consider what plane he swings down on . . . can you put it the stuff together in Chapter 10 to make a stroke that works?

So you have identified in your posts . . . the following . . .

1. Turned Left Hand
2. Open Body
3. "Late Strike" - please tell me what you mean by that
4. "No Hip Action" - what does that mean?

Address #3 and 4# . . .

And

Would you agree that he is a "shut faced" player? If so, what does that mean? And what do you think has to happen inorder to play shut?

What plane do you think he is using in the downstroke? What do you think has to happen in order for him to stay on plane based on the 4 things you identified above?

Talk to me . . .

He is not a shut-faced player.

Swinger, Sequenced Release, Horizontal Hinge. He uses 10-18-B Downstroke.

What has that picture to do with Shut Faced? Get the next picture in the sequence. His reverse roll opens that sucker up like a kid in a race car.

Can't find a sequence. I got one at the office. I'll scan and post it. Then you can tell some more lies.

I've been searching the Net for 15 minutes and couldn't find one.

I shouda put a wink icon there! I just like to get you riled up! I think Puggy Blackmon and Alex Sloan were connected some how, so no doubt there were 24 compatible components there. I wonder if DD had a sense of them?

Actually when Duval was Ga. Tech, Puggy had him go work with George Kelnhofer G.S.E.M. As far as Alex Sloan, I am not sure. DD definitely knew about the 24 components. Keep in mind while in college Duval played in the final group with Tom Kite at Atlanta C.C. ( Yoda's home track I believe ) in the old Bellsouth Classic.

I believe before Augusta last year, DD started working with Puggy again at South Carolina. Now that his wife is better, let's hope he can return to form that brought him a major.

Haney tried to get Duval to change his grip significantly to much more vertical - weaker position. IMHO that was the first and biggest influence in Duval's free fall from the top tier.

If that is fact, Haney is whackjob. Amazing.

Yeah that was a dose of reality for me. That shut is open and open is shut!

So many balls...so much time

I used to work hard on getting my thumbs under the shaft...wondered why I hooked it off the planet, until I realized that a so-called rotated to open toe pointing down at end would promote a coat hanger! Just take it from the top back to address and see the truth. Did Hogan counter rotate in start down? I remember Gary Player criticizing Tiger for having a shut face, as opposed to a slight cup in the left wrist like hogan. Henry Cotton did not like the "American shut-faced" look either.
