The results of the class at St. Augustine
At the crack of dawn I put staging up to get ready to paint one of the big windows on the house. I washed everything with bleach to get rid of the mildew. While it was drying I decided to play golf.
I went to Longhi's Executive course in Southwich Messachusetts a beautiful place. 13 holes, three par 4 and the remaining par 3's. Things were going well. I parred 2, birdied one and ...... a hole in one .... on the 130 yard eighth. I used my 5 iron, half swing, straight as an arrow into the sun. I saw it bounce very straight and when I walked to the hole there it was. WOW! The clubs are custom ( I have a custom club shop) Golfsmith Fire Forged irons. The ball was a Pinnacle Gold that I had found in the woods. It has a logo on it that I can't figure out. I was using all the principles that Lynn went over during the St. Augustine class. I can't tell you what The Golfing Machine has meant to me. I constantly go over my notes and the video of the classes. Everytime I do that I either find something new or I am looking and understanding differently an old item. What a gold mine of information. Oh well, the window has dried out, I guess I have to go out and start painting. Lynn, I owe you one.... Thanks |
"Ace is wild"
Jim,
Congratulations on reaching a new Pinnacle with an old Pinnacle. |

As in, from a double-digit handicap pre-St. Augustine to a 73 just recently. From not being able to hit the green with a pitching wedge... To being... Downright dangerous. Fun! |
St. A Reunion
Jim,
That is awesome! Congratulations! Congrats to you too, Bobby, on the 73. That is also awesome! Geez, one guy from St. A has an ace, another shot a +1...I've never done any of those things. I guess I need to get away from the car and play some G.O.L.F.--I obviously have some catching up to do. |

Nice work everyone!
Good to hear from you all again. I'm not playing much at this time but am able to practice on a regular basis. I am the difference in feel between hitting and swinging. One of these days I'll decide which one is best. :? ldeit |
My swing has become so in tune this season, I feel as though I can not pick up a club for 3 months and it'll all still "be there." After some flip-flopping between Hitting and Swinging, I think I've settled on Swinging.
Right forearm lagging clubhead takeaway... Catch and load the lag at the top... Crank right shoulder downplane... Whirl back, whirl through, automatic throwout... :) |
The Yellow Book Road
Welcome to our little impromtu reunion, Lee and Matt. These two make six -- about two-thirds of our non-PGA contingent at St. Augustine almost eighteen months ago -- who have checked in (on their own, I might add) within the space of just a few hours.
Each is continuing his personal journey along the road that is The Golfing Machine. Continuous progress toward attainable objectives! At the very least, the Guided Struggle instead of the Blind Struggle. And as you have read in their posts, each is having a ball of fun doing it. In a world where golf methods and tips come and go with the wind, here is a System for those hardy pioneers who are in it for the 'long haul'. It is built on scientific principle and offers an infinite array of procedure to get the job done. All it takes is an open mind and the courage to begin. It may not be the easy way, and most certainly it is not the conventional way, but it is... The sure way. |

Yoda As far as golf goes, yes, tons of progress. More important are the new friends that I have made thanks to your forum. On these pages you will find the most positive people on earth. If or should I say when, you have an alumni worshop count me in. |

Thanks for the kind words. On my way to work I drive along about two miles of bunker AKA the beach. I try to spend at least one hour a week hitting shots from various textures of sand, absorbing scenery and applying golf. |
