Where there is Hogan there is Hope...and Crosby

O.B.,

That would be Father KellER. Probably a Freudian slip. The video is well worth a look. Thanks!

Sorry Drew, no ethnic profiling intended. I could swear I saw a lepricon in the back ground of the third act there. Might have been the Bushmills I was drinking last night.

What a great clip, O.B. Thanks!

Guys, stop it down at 8:31 and understand Rhythm -- the Left Arm and Clubshaft In-Line through Impact.

With the Clubshaft still stressed with its Lag Pressure Point Pressure, it is the Secret of the Game.

Also, note Ben's willingness -- in fact, preference -- to execute his swing in slow motion. He knew precisely every move he made, and he demonstrates it here. Some twenty years later, he did exactly the same thing in this 'home movie': http://lynnblakegolf.com/index.php/V...ome-Video.html

With or without a ball . . .

Fast or slow . . .

Ben Hogan understood his motion and could demonstrate.

First, to an audience of only himself . . .

Later, to one or a few.

Finally, to millions, both in his own day . . .

And across time.

Years ago in a swamp far, far away I asked you to demonstrate full motion swinging and hitting which to my amazement you graciously performed. At the time I was confused about their differences and had never seen a "hit" up close and personal.

Then I asked you to perform a swing in slow motion... you paused and gave me an impatient, "are you sure you are ready for this Jediyoungling" look, :confused1 then you executed a slow motion swing naming each of the 12 sections while striking a ball flawlessly in the process. I was speechless and it's something I will never forget.

Time to look at my lesson tape from many moons ago and see if it was recorded.

Great story Bagger, thanks.

If it was recorded would you mind sharing it with the world? I think Lynn demonstrated the 12 sections of 12-3-0 in the masterpiece premium movie "From Mechanics to Feel" with Jeff Hull if my memory serves me correctly, but another view of it is always welcome. I recall Lynn's story of the early years and winter time indoor, ballroom, training. No balls, no nets, just Lynn and the congregation doing a call and respond of the 12 sections. One man emerging in the spring to win his city's championship.

There is also a rumor circulating in Hollywood that a similar topic was covered by VJ and Lynn during the taping of Alignment Golf. Taped, recorded, edited and ultimately edited out of the final cut. We can only hope that a directors cut or bootleg tape of this to shows up on a website near us soon.

Maybe....................
