People may get a kick out of Charles Barkley's ACTION, but I bet he would like to strike it better, and shoot better scores... like everyone.
Probably most teachers have seen people like Charles. They have a very set pattern, and seem not be able to change at all. Maybe with a rehearsal swing, and possibly(briefly) on the range... but not for long, especially when playing. These people may have even taken some lessons, possibly for years from various well known instructors.
You see a similar thing with free throw shooting... they are kind of similar in a way. With both of these, the player can take their time, go through a routine(waggle, bounce the ball a certain number of times, etc)before they execute their stroke or shot.
We have all seen the opposite also. The guy comes in that is over the top(Loop Shift 10-F-7), Full Sweep, and throwaway... and is amazingly improved in one session... and can strike it well after the corrections.
What makes this last guy different in his learning from the first guy?
