Haven't been to an LPGA event since 95 (pre-Pro-v)...all I remember about the experience was how SHORT most of them hit it, and how short the course was set up for them, and how the Golf Channel lied about the length of the holes they were playing. Eg, they would say the hole so and so was playing was a 380 yard par 4, when they were really playing it from the 350 tee box. Pin placements were very easy, too. All in all, I was disappointed with the experience...I do agree that TGM is needed out there. There was a lot of throwaway goin' on...

There are certainly still shorter hitters, but all in all those ladies can pound it past 'most' men, and there was certainly nothing 'easy' about the setup at Kingsmill this week. The course, especially the greens, were in outstanding shape and the pins were in some very tricky spots.

Webb was as 'on target' as anyone I've seen hit in person. I followed her on the front 9 on Sat, and she didn't miss a shot except her approach to 8, where she made a 'great' up and down from a tough spot.
