Can anyone please explain what PP3 does during a full motion swinging procedure from End through Top and then beyond?
I was with Yoda and YodasLuke at Shirley this past weekend and Yoda was talking about how PP3 rotates around something so you don't feel it as instantaneously as a Hitter would. Or did I miss the boat?
thanks
Tommy

For a swinger, the startup swivel (90 degree turn from the left shoulder) brings PP#3 onto the plane, basically the same plane as PP#1, where they both ride up the plane 'in line'. Clap your hands 'on the plane'.
See the drills section re: EdZ drills for some more details/drills that can show you this.
So at the 'end' AND at the 'top' a swinger has already turned the pressure points onto the plane. The #3 pressure point, being ever so slightly offset from PP#1 is therefore on the 'side' of the shaft at the top because of its turned position. The 'door has opened'. You can think of PP#3 at the 'end' as supporting the 'underside of the plane', that PP#1 is always on.
By contrast, a hitter does not have that startup swivel and hence the 'feel' is certainly that PP#3 is still supporting the change of direction (top)from directly 'behind' the shaft. Both PP#1 and PP#3 stay in the same 'relative to each other' plane.
