No, jr, I did not attend the Summit and have no transcripts or video. Therefore, I cannot comment on the presentations.
I was unable to attend because of personal commitments, but my fellow A.I.'s bax1865 and sligo33 were in attendance. Boys, any light you can shine upon the darkness???
Will post my impressions, of the Summit, after I have time to clearly reflect and communicate my thoughts. BBax had a great post concerning the Dr Z. subject. Much was made of the rear inside quadrant of the ball. Yoda had a great post, in the Dr.Z. thread, regarding this. It is the HANDS that seek the inside quadrant. From my recollection, Dr. Z. was asked about the Clubhead contacting or moving towards the inside aft quadrant. In that respect, it may help to explain his answer. I have not read the the post on the other website that prompted all the excitement. So unable to comment any further.
The summit was a great experience. Your company was missed. It was wonderful to meet all the attendees and speakers. Agree with BBax. Hope to see and meet more A.I.'s, at a future summit.
The ball has NO IDEA about "plane lines" or "plane angles," just the PATH the clubhead makes through the ball.
And, by path, I mean up and down AND out and in.
So...in your example, the clubhead would still be moving OUT and the ball would respond to the effects of PATH vs. clubface.
Mr. Kelly did his best, but, on this one, he whiffed.
I have no issue with new information. My issue is the authority with which Dr. Z's sychophants pontificate. Of course, copies of the summit (and Dr. Z's information) are only made available to AIs (as far as I know)so we will have to take their word for it! Ah the potential of new information held by a select few! I do not eliminate the possibility of Mr. Kelley being off a bit here and there, though I do not think it probable based on information from ONE TGM summit. I have noticed the tendency of many golf instructors to seek new information, which is then translated into their own vernacular for marketing purposes. I think we should debunk points of Mr. Kelley's work in a more organized and open fashion, don't you think? Who is reading over Dr. Z's shoulder?
