What are you talking about? Think like Homer and he even gave directions in how to do so. Grab a dictionary and look up a given word and see how it applies directly or a close approximation to golf and then use. So then finesse is basically fine tuning. At that time when you apply your grip to the instrument and move it, no matter if it is good or bad, you are going to get a Hinge Action. There is more but I think it becomes quite clear then the "why" of the move. As for the 7th Edition. There is none. What has been compulated and worked on are notes.
